The Alocasia Black Velvet Mint Variegata is an exceptional collector plant with a very pale, high-contrast variegation. Characteristic are the compact, velvety leaves with a mint to almost cream-white base colour and clearly visible green venation. The variegation differs from leaf to leaf, ranging from finely marbled mint tones to very pale, almost fully variegated areas. The strong green veins form a striking contrast against the pale leaf surface. Bright position with plenty of indirect light; avoid intense direct midday sun. Temperature steadily above 22 °C. Humidity ideally 60–80 percent. Let the substrate dry slightly before watering again and avoid waterlogging. Use an airy, free-draining mix with good drainage.
