The Alocasia Longiloba 'Grandis Pink Variegata' is defined by its elongated, distinctively shaped leaves and an exceptional pale to pink variegation. Depending on the leaf, cream-white, soft pink and green areas can appear either broadly or finely marbled. Particularly heavily variegated leaves can look almost entirely pale.
 
Bright position, indirect light, temperature steady above 18 °C, no draughts. Alocasia reacts sensitively to sudden changes of position and occasionally answers with leaf loss. That too is reversible: as long as the tuber is firm, the plant will push new growth.
 
The variegation is variable and not identical on every new leaf. Each leaf develops its own pattern: from heavily variegated or almost entirely pale leaves, through marbled markings, to distinctly greener new growth. How the variegation comes out cannot be reliably steered through care and can change as the plant grows on.
 
This plant is rooted and established. After shipping it may take a few days to acclimatise — slight leaf stress, curled leaves or a growth pause in the first two weeks are normal. Heavily variegated leaves are more vulnerable in transit than green ones and may show occasional browning at the edges.
