The Alocasia Nebula Aurea brings together the metallic grey to blue-green, firm leaf structure of the Nebula with yellow to cream lightening. On the matt, silvery leaf surface the pale areas read softer than on glossy-leaved Alocasia.

A warm, bright spot out of direct sun is ideal, from 18 °C upwards. Humidity from 60 percent — dry heated air brings spider mites quickly. Keep the mix loose and free-draining: root rot in dense substrate is the leading cause of loss in this genus.

Instead of white sections this form shows yellow to cream lightening. Yellow variegated tissue still contains residual chlorophyll and is therefore less vulnerable to light stress than pure white — such plants usually grow more vigorously than comparable Albo forms.

This plant is rooted and established. After shipping it may take a few days to acclimatise — slight leaf stress, curled leaves or a growth pause in the first two weeks are normal. Heavily variegated leaves are more vulnerable in transit than green ones and may show occasional browning at the edges.

Rare & Variegated Collector Plants

For many collectors, a single variegated plant is where it all begins. What starts with one Monstera often grows into a collection built up over years, where every plant has its own story.

PK-Plants specialises in rare and variegated collector plants. Our range includes variegated Monstera such as Devil Monster, Thai Constellation and Aurea, variegated Alocasia from Nebula Variegata to Cuprea Nom Yen Pink Variegata, rare Philodendron hybrids and exclusive Anthurium. Alongside these we offer rhizomes, tissue culture pre-orders and changing rarities.

Our focus is on outstanding genetics and a deliberately small, carefully curated selection. Express shipping is available on request. Each plant is inspected and carefully packed before shipping.

Whether you are looking for your first variegated plant or expanding an established collection, write to us. We are happy to advise you personally.
