The Alocasia Nobilis Aurea carries narrow, deeply lobed leaves with strongly prominent venation and yellow to lime lightening. The leaf shape becomes considerably more incised as the plant grows.
Alocasia grows in bursts. Nothing seems to happen for weeks, then two leaves arrive in quick succession. Steady warmth and even moisture — never standing water — matter more than fertiliser. Perlite or pine bark in the mix is more decisive than how often you water.
Instead of white sections this form shows yellow to cream lightening. Yellow variegated tissue still contains residual chlorophyll and is therefore less vulnerable to light stress than pure white — such plants usually grow more vigorously than comparable Albo forms.
This plant is rooted and established. After shipping it may take a few days to acclimatise — slight leaf stress, curled leaves or a growth pause in the first two weeks are normal. Heavily variegated leaves are more vulnerable in transit than green ones and may show occasional browning at the edges.
Delivery quality: you receive a comparable plant from the same batch as shown. Since every variegation is unique, no two specimens are alike.
