The Monstera Agnell carries strikingly thick, leathery leaf tissue in a very dark green. On this specimen a bright yellow sector runs across an entire leaf — in this cultivar the contrast between the deep dark green and the clear yellow is unusually sharply defined. The leaves are entire and domed.
 
Bright position without direct midday sun. Yellow leaf areas retain residual chlorophyll and are less vulnerable than pure white ones, but they too will not take full sun. Keep the mix loose and free-draining, letting it dry between waterings. Humidity from 55 percent. A climbing support encourages leaf size and later fenestration.
 
The variegation is sectoral. Every new leaf develops its own pattern: sometimes a pronounced half-moon, sometimes a mostly green leaf, sometimes a very pale one. This variation is inherent to the mechanism and cannot be controlled through care. The node tells you more than the current leaf: shoots emerging from variegated tissue are more likely to carry the pattern forward.
 
This plant is rooted and established. After shipping it may take a few days to acclimatise — slight leaf stress, curled leaves or a growth pause in the first two weeks are normal. Heavily variegated leaves are more vulnerable in transit than green ones and may show occasional browning at the edges.
