The Monstera Bulbasaur Mutation Variegata departs from the ordinary Bulbasaur in both leaf shape and pattern distribution. The lightening is finer and more often reaches the centre of the leaf rather than only the margins.

A bright spot out of direct midday sun is ideal. Pale leaf sections hold little functional chlorophyll and react more sensitively to strong light than green tissue — they brown faster. Water sparingly: let the top centimetres dry between waterings. A climbing support improves both leaf size and fenestration.

The lightening is distributed finely across the leaf rather than in defined sectors. Such patterns look more even and vary less from leaf to leaf than sectoral variegation, but rarely produce the high-contrast half-moons.

This plant is rooted and established. After shipping it may take a few days to acclimatise — slight leaf stress, curled leaves or a growth pause in the first two weeks are normal. Heavily variegated leaves are more vulnerable in transit than green ones and may show occasional browning at the edges.

Rare & Variegated Collector Plants

For many collectors, a single variegated plant is where it all begins. What starts with one Monstera often grows into a collection built up over years, where every plant has its own story.

PK-Plants specialises in rare and variegated collector plants. Our range includes variegated Monstera such as Devil Monster, Thai Constellation and Aurea, variegated Alocasia from Nebula Variegata to Cuprea Nom Yen Pink Variegata, rare Philodendron hybrids and exclusive Anthurium. Alongside these we offer rhizomes, tissue culture pre-orders and changing rarities.

Our focus is on outstanding genetics and a deliberately small, carefully curated selection. Express shipping is available on request. Each plant is inspected and carefully packed before shipping.

Whether you are looking for your first variegated plant or expanding an established collection, write to us. We are happy to advise you personally.
