The Monstera Golden Wings shows broad cream-yellow lightening on a wide, heart-shaped leaf. The transition is characteristic: alongside connected pale fields lie finely speckled areas where yellow and green interlock. On this specimen the pale share takes up large parts of the leaf.
Bright position, avoid direct midday sun — leaves with a high pale share scorch considerably faster than green ones. Water sparingly and let the mix dry between waterings. Humidity from 55 percent. Heavily lightened plants grow more slowly because less functional leaf tissue is available.
The variegation is sectoral. Every new leaf develops its own pattern: sometimes a pronounced half-moon, sometimes a mostly green leaf, sometimes a very pale one. This variation is inherent to the mechanism and cannot be controlled through care. The node tells you more than the current leaf: shoots emerging from variegated tissue are more likely to carry the pattern forward.
This plant is rooted and established. After shipping it may take a few days to acclimatise — slight leaf stress, curled leaves or a growth pause in the first two weeks are normal. Heavily variegated leaves are more vulnerable in transit than green ones and may show occasional browning at the edges.
