A further developed Monstera Light Lime Variegata with several mature leaves. The light green to chartreuse marking takes up larger shares of the leaf here and the fenestration is clearly pronounced. Plants of this size show their pattern development across several leaves and are therefore easier to judge than young specimens.
Monstera is the most robust of the collector genera and forgives mistakes. What matters is bright light, a free-draining mix and restraint when watering. Provide a support and higher humidity and the leaves come out considerably larger — without a support the plant stays in its juvenile leaf form.
Instead of white sections this form shows yellow to cream lightening. Yellow variegated tissue still contains residual chlorophyll and is therefore less vulnerable to light stress than pure white — such plants usually grow more vigorously than comparable Albo forms.
This plant is rooted and established. After shipping it may take a few days to acclimatise — slight leaf stress, curled leaves or a growth pause in the first two weeks are normal. Heavily variegated leaves are more vulnerable in transit than green ones and may show occasional browning at the edges.
