The Philodendron Tortum x Florida Beauty Variegata combines the finely divided, almost thread-like leaf segments of the Tortum with the fingered leaf shape of the Florida Beauty. The pale fields are distributed across the individual segments.
A bright spot and a coarse, airy mix are decisive. Let it dry between waterings and avoid waterlogging entirely. This genus suits collectors who want demanding variegation without running a cabinet — room conditions are enough given a bright position.
The variegation is sectoral. Every new leaf develops its own pattern: sometimes a pronounced half-moon, sometimes a mostly green leaf, sometimes a very pale one. This variation is inherent to the mechanism and cannot be controlled through care. The node tells you more than the current leaf: shoots emerging from variegated tissue are more likely to carry the pattern forward.
This plant is rooted and established. After shipping it may take a few days to acclimatise — slight leaf stress, curled leaves or a growth pause in the first two weeks are normal. Heavily variegated leaves are more vulnerable in transit than green ones and may show occasional browning at the edges.
Delivery quality: you receive a comparable plant from the same batch as shown. Since every variegation is unique, no two specimens are alike.
